Abstract
1338274 Potassium ferricyanide DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 19 April 1971 [9 April 1970] 26161/71 Heading ClA [Also in Division C7] K 3 Fe(CN) 6 is formed by oxidizing an aqueous solution of K 4 Fe(CN) 6 with O 2 , air or H 2 O 2 in the presence of added H 4 Fe(CN) 6 or H 2 Fe(CN) 6 . The acid may be obtained by reacting the Ba salt with H 2 SO 4 or the alkali metal salt with HCl or with a cation exchange resin in the H form. The solid product may be obtained by crystallization or spray-drying.
