Abstract
1325952 Watering plants A E CHOUX and P A GAUDARD 2 June 1971 [10 June 1970] 18565/71 Heading A1E [Also in Division A4] A flower stand comprises a frame 1 to which legs 2 are attached and a detachable cover 5 provided with tapered openings 6 for doublewalled tapering flower pots 7, the cover 5 being capable of occupying two positions, viz. a lower position as shown in which it is supported by the upper ends of the legs 2 and is located downwards relative to the upper edge of the frame 1 so that the cover and frame co-operate to define a box for soil, gravel or other granular ornamental material 13, and an upper position (Fig. 2, not shown) in which it is supported on tenoned blocks (4) located in the upper ends of the legs 2 so that its upper surface is flush with the upper edge of the frame 1. In the lower position, the cover is also supported on the blocks 4 which are engaged in slots 11 in frame 1. The legs 2 may comprise two abutting sections screwed together. A detachable leakproof water tank 8 is supported by cleats 9 on legs 2. In its lower position (Fig. 3) the cover 5 is upside down with respect to its upper position (Fig. 2). Surface 14 of cover 5 may be varnished. The cover and frame may comprise boards of plastics material coated on both sides with moistureproof material.
