Abstract

1325802 Packaging apparatus ACI OPERATIONS PTY Ltd 6 Sept 1971 [29 Jan 1971] 41526/71 Heading B8C A waxed fibre-board container is sealed by re-melting patches 16 of hot melt adhesive on flaps 121, 122 and pressing these flaps on to pre-heated coacting flaps 141, 142, the patches 16 having been applied to the container blank and allowed to cool. The filled container is placed on a carriage 50 on table 52 for transport into structure 54 bearing heating elements 56 to melt the patches 16. The container may then be withdrawn for manual closure of flaps 121, 122 or the heater may be part of a continuous conveyer.
