Abstract

1325043 Preparation of blood for testing D J GREENSPAN 24 July 1970 [4 Aug 1969] 36034/70 Heading B1X [Also in Division A5] Blood plasma and serum for testing is separated from a whole blood sample by contacting the blood with an anionic exchange resin and a hemagglutinin whereby red and white cells and platelets are removed. If serum is required (rather than plasma), a substance which inhibits the formation of fibrin, e.g. fibrinolysin or thrombin, may be added.
