Abstract

1323093 Magnetic recording FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 8 July 1970 [11 July 1969] 33197/70 Heading G5R Audio or video signals are magnetically recorded by a head having polepieces 1, 2 defining a gap 7 and carrying respective coils 4, 5 so connected to the signal source 6 that solely by the coils 4, 5 the pole faces 10, 20 are magnetized to the same polarity to produce a concentrated recording field. As shown, the polepieces are of ferrite joined to a non-magnetizable support 3. The polepieces and/or coil parameters may be chosen so as to produce an inclined recording field (Fig. 2B, not shown).
