Abstract
1315671 Spraybooths BERRIDGE ENG Ltd 29 April 1970 [31 an 1969] 5302/69 Heading B2L A spray both in which powdered coating material is electrostatically sprayed through a window 15 on to an article suspended in a chamber 12 comprises a duct 20 which draws air and any excess particulate material from the vicinity of the window. The duct leads to a second chamber 13 in which filter tubes 50 are provided which connect the duct to a collecting trolley 60. Air is drawn from chamber 13 by a fan and draws air from the filter tubes 50 and hence from the opening 27 in the end of the duct. The opening 27 extends across the full width of the bottom of the window. The bottom plates 21, 22 of the duct are removable for cleaning of the duct and a slot 29 is provided so that their upper surfaces can be swept before the fan is switched off. A low velocity extraction is provided in the wall opposite window 15 by a hinged plate which forms part of the side wall of the duct. (For Figures see next column)
