Abstract
1311508 Pouring metal into moulds FOSECO INTERNATIONAL Ltd 7 May 1971 [19 May 1970] 24196/70 Heading B3F [Also in Divisions C1 and F4] Casting moulds 8 are moved by a conveyer belt 7 under a crucible 1 provided with an induction coil 2 and a metal plug 4 blocking an aperture 3 in the base of the crucible. The size and composition of the plug 4 is such that it does not melt until the metal 10 in the crucible reaches a temperature of, say, 100‹ C. above its melting point.
