Abstract

1306805 Stud and socket fastenings E C COLE 10 Dec 1970 [1 Jan 1970] 80/70 Heading E2B In a retractable retaining device for freight containers of the kind comprising a casing, a bolt consisting of a shaft 82 mounted in the casing and for rotation and axial movement and having a head 84 with diametrically opposed radial projections, the head is disposed in the same angular positions in the withdrawn and release positions thereof and can be moved from the withdrawn position to the release position by axial movement of the bolt unaccompanied by rotation by bolt operating means disposed externally of the casing below the head and the axial movement of the bolt can be effected even when a container socket 34 for receiving the head is in a securing position on the device. The device is fully described in Specification 1306804.
