Abstract

1397694 Yarn packages GLOBE MFG CO 26 April 1973 [8 May 1972] 19865/73 Heading B8M [Also in Division D1] A yarn package for elastic yarns (e.g. polyurethane) consists of a tricol fabric knitted on two sets of needles so that the wales formed in successive courses by each yarn face in opposite directions, each wale comprising loops of yarn from each of the adjacent wales facing in the opposite direction. The number of warps used in knitting this fabric corresponds to the number of warps required for knitting or weaving the final fabric to be made from the yarn when it is unravelled from the package.
