Abstract

1392489 Spring door closers DORMABAUBESCHLAG GmbH & CO KG 8 Dec 1972 [14 Dec 1971] 56781/72 Heading E2M A spring door closer comprises a shaft 12 to be coupled with a door and interacting by way of a cam plate 18 with clamping means and with a spring 35, that part 20 of the cam plate which is operative between closed and normal open positions of the door having a constant rise so that a constant torque must be applied to open the door in this range, and that part 22 of the cam plate which is operative in the region of the normal open position having a steeper rise, so that a torque at least twice the said constant torque is needed in this range. The clamping means comprises piston (32), Fig I (not shown), non-return valve (36) and adjustable throttling means 43. Specification 1259030 is referred to.
