Abstract

1379873 Discharging pusher type furnaces AEG-ELOTHERM GmbH 9 March 1973 [18 March 1972] 11496/73 Heading F4B A device for discharging ingots 3 from an inductively heated pusher furnace comprises gripper arms 4 on a carrier 5 supported on springs 6 on a slide 8 movable in the direction 12 of ingot advance and vibrated in a direction normal to such advance direction by a vibrator 7. The carrier 5 slides on bars 10 and deposits the ingots on a transfer device 19. In a modification (Fig. 3) the carrier (5<SP>1</SP>) is rotatably mounted in a frame-like slide (81) and the gripper arms (4<SP>1</SP>) deposit the ingots on a lower V-shaped shoot (20). Another modification (Fig. 4) has one or more pairs of power driven coned rollers (14) engaging each ingot and mounted on a vibrated carrier (5<SP>11</SP>). Additional top rollers may provide pinch rollers with a lower set.
