Abstract
1368175 Container closures; plastics containers MAUSER KG 1 Dec 1972 [27 May 1972] 55515/72 Headings B8T and B8D A plastics container has a prefabricated plastics intermediate ring 1 with flange 2 welded into the container mesh 3. The ring 1 has a lower internal flange 6 with recesses and an upper internal flange 4, both of which are used for correctly positioning the ring on a mandrel during the canister moulding operation. The flange 4 also forms a seal tight abutment for a plastics socket 5 which is forced into the intermediate ring after moulding. The socket 5 has an outer flange 7 which aligns and abuts with the container mesh on the top surface of the intermediate ring upper flange 4, 2. The socket 5 has an external screw thread 8 and a screw cap 11. The container is designed for stacking.
