Abstract

1366543 Cabinets E & H GRACE Ltd 16 March 1972 [24 March 1971] 7742/71 Heading A4B A cabinet, shelving or like article of furniture includes rectangular section parts 4 provided in at least two faces with longitudinal mortices 21 engaged by corresponding tenons 27 or mating members 5 each having two arms 28 defining a channel in which an edge of a side or back wall panel 6, 7 is received, top and bottom panels 8, 9 being screwed to L-section members 13 provided at their ends with tongues 53 engaged in respective mortices 21. Inwardly directed flanges 30 on the arms 28 engage in grooves 31 in the side and back panels 6, 7. Shelves 10 or drawer runners 20 may be supported on pegs 14 or 33 engaged in holes in side panels 6. Plugs 15 may be fitted in the open ends of the posts 4. Trim strips 18 are fitted between adjacent top panels 8. Sliding doors may be guided in upper and lower horizontal channels or may be suspended from rollers (96), Figs. 20, 21 (not shown). Posts 4 may be joined end to end by a connector 78 having spigots 79 which push into the open ends of the posts 4. An adjustable screw device Fig. 23 (not shown) may be carried by a rear post to bear on a room wall.
