Abstract

1363919 Variable resistors CTS CORP 5 Aug 1971 [5 Aug 1970] 36872/71 Heading HIS In a variable resistor 10, the resistance path 16 has a generally arcuate configuration being circular on the inner edge 17 while the outer edge is delineated by straight intersecting lines which are tangents to the imaginary circular arc 19 concentric with the inner edge and in which certain areas of conductor such as 26, 28 have been denuded to produce the desired resistivity. The resistance material (e.g. cermet) can be applied by brushing, spraying or silk screening and then fired. Conductive material 22, 24 in the form of pads provide electrical connection to terminals 15 for the resistor path and the contact member.
