Abstract
1359249 Folding chairs HW OXFORD 10 Nov 1972 [24 Dec 1971] 51898/72 Heading A4J A folding chair comprises front and rear frames 11, 7 respectively, a seat 14 pivotally connected to the front and rear frames and a bracing arm 18 pivotally connected to a cross bar 13 of the front frame and engageable with a cross bar (9) Fig.3 (not shown) of the rear frame when the chair is in the unfolded position, the legs 12 of the front frame being spaced apart a lesser distance than the legs 8 of the rear frame such that on folding of the chair the front frame passes between the legs of the rear frame. The chair is held in its folded position by the engagement of a press stud fastener 22 on the front leg with a strap 21 on the rear frame. A carrying handle 20 is provided on the rear frame.
