Abstract

1,228,891. Dispensing measured quantities of powder; feeding materials. ERIC CORNER Ltd. 24 June 1969 [25 March, 1968], No. 14220/68. Headings B8N and B8S. Apparatus for dispensing measured quantities of powder &c. comprises a dispensing rotor 10 having blades 14 which contact a resiliently biased agitator 23 to agitate the powder to be dispensed. The rotor 10 has four flexible blades 14 and is mounted on a shaft 12 having a square sectioned end 19 contacting a leaf spring 21. Thus the rotor can be turned in one direction only, by a knob 18, and a quarter of a turn at a time to dispense measured quantities of powder through a tube 8. The agitator is pivoted about a rod 24 and is biased by a spring 25.
