Abstract

1,208,969. Delivering sheets; folding paper; endless conveyers. PLAMAG PLAUENER DRUCKMASCHINENWERK VEB. 14 Nov., 1968, No. 54014/68. Heading B8A and B8R. Printed sheets 1 delivered from a first processing station (e.g. transverse folding cylinder 3) are directed alternately to second and third processing stations (e.g. further folding devices) by belts 4 and 9 and belts 7 and 8 respectively. Sheets leaving the nip of belts 4 and 5 are engaged by one or the other of two oppositely rotating cam discs 12 and 13 which serve to direct sheets into the alternative paths provided by belts 4 and 9 and belts 7 and 8. The sheets may have been longitudinally folded and transversely cut before being further folded by cylinder 3 from which they are stripped by scraper 2. Pulley 10 is pivotally supported on levers 11 to permit adjustment of the proximity of belts 4 and 9 and belts 7 and 8. Belts 15 and 16 may be moving slower than those preceding them.
