Abstract

1299090 Releasable fastenings SOC INTERCONTINENTALE DES CONTAINERS 15 Dec 1969 [8 Jan 1969] 61063/69 Heading E2B [Also in Division B8] An ISO container has a removable roof 4 which is releasably secured to a door lintel 6 by fasteners 16 disposed within the container. To facilitate loading, the lintel is pivotable away from the container about a hinge 7. In the closed position of the lintel, a tapered pin 19 on the free end of the lintel is located by a tapered opening in a flange 23 carried by a corner upright, and the lintel is clamped to the flange by a threaded nut on a pivoted threaded rod 21. The roof is releasably clamped to the walls of the container by the fasteners shown in Fig. 5. Each fastener has an operating lever 10 which is connected to the container wall for engagement with a roof mounted keeper by a pivoted link 9 and has a projection 10a 11.
