Abstract

1285892 Suspended vehicles L W GRAHAM 11 Nov 1969 1948/69 Heading B7L [Also in Division B8] The casing 1 for a hoisting winch incorporates support bushes 2, 3 welded to appropriate ends thereof, each bush having a stepped bore 4, 5 open to one side through a slot 7 which facilitates reception of a suspension bolt 10, 11 into the bore, a nut 17, 18 on each bolt engaging the step 6 in the bush bore to support the winch. The two suspension bolts depend from rollers 12, 13 movable along a track 14, and extend through apertures 15, 16 in a reaction plate 19, the bolts being reacted against the apertures 15, 16 to cause the nut ends thereof to diverge, by a tension spacing 20 connecting the bolts. The winch is mounted on the bolts 10, 11 by lifting it so that the bolts can be pushed into the bushes, and the winch is then lowered for engagement of the steps 6 and nuts 17, 18.
