Abstract

1282353 Indicating rates of fluid-flow G W SEULEN [trading as HONSBERG & CO KG] 30 Nov 1970 [8 May 1970] 22239/70 Heading G1R A fluid-flow indicating device comprises a spring-loaded piston 6, 5 with one end 15 extending through an aperture 45 in a wall 44 which divides a chamber into inlet and outlet portions 42, 43, the piston having a hollow portion, open at its opposite end, a ring magnet 50, 7 surrounding a part of the hollow portion, a tube 8 adjustably mounted in relation to the chamber and located within the hollow portion, a dry reed contact unit 4 located within the tube, the interior of the tube being isolated from the fluid in the chamber and the arrangement being such that the piston 5 is moved against the spring 6 by fluid-flowing through the chamber and the contact unit is actuated by the magnet when there is a predetermined rate of fluid-flow through the chamber from inlet 40 to outlet 41. As described the piston has a tapered end 15.
