Abstract

1280014 Eye dropper G H BERRY 26 May 1970 [1 March 1969] 11068/69 Heading A5R An eye drop applicator comprises an eye bath and an eye dropper which has a stem which extends through the wall of the eyebath, so that a nozzle at one end of the stem is disposed within the eyebath and a compressible bulb at the other end of the stem outside the eyebath. The dropper is a sliding fit in an aperture in the eyebath wall and is held in position by either a rubber grommet 9 or by resilient serrations (15) Fig. 6 (not shown) fixed at the periphery of the aperture. Two or more apertures may be provided in the eyebath, and the eye may be washed by filling the bath with a suitable liquid and providing turbulence by means of a dropper 6 with the eyebath in position over the eye. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1163903.
