1277140 Endless conveyers H M SAWRIE 10 June 1970 [11 June 1969] 28009/70 Heading B8A An endless conveyer platform structure 25 (Fig. 1) is adapted to be supported in a rigid operative position 25<SP>1</SP>and has a plurality of rigid load-supporting members 33 (Fig. 3), an elongated rigid bridging member 34 fixed to, and disposed transversely of, the member 33, so that it projects on opposite sides of the member 33. All the members 33 are disposed transversely of the platform with the bridging member 34 of each member 33 extending over the immediately adjacent load-supporting member or members 33. By this means, and by virtue of connecting means 36 being provided between adjacent members, in the operative position of the platform, all the members 33 of each platform are maintained rigid against relative movement above the operative platform position, and the sections may swing in a longitudinal plane to an inoperative position below the operative platform position. The conveyer may be of the kind described in Specification 1,008,554. In Figs. 1-4, the load-supporting members are bars or slats, and the connecting means 36 comprises a flexible sheet secured to immediately adjacent members 33. In Figs. 7-9 (not shown), the flexible member is formed by interlinking the members 34 to form two laterally-spaced endless chains. The members 33 may be plain slats or alternatively (Figs. 8, 9, not shown) may be of T-shaped cross-section.
