Abstract
1,258,350. Rotary spindle switches without quick action. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 18 Dec., 1969 [21 Dec., 1968], No. 61708/69. Heading H1N. In a rotary switch with detented location the rotor (not shown) is integral with or in one structural unit with a detented disc 10, Fig. 1a, engaged by projections 7, Fig. 1b, on a resilient spring 5 attached as by tubular rivets 4 to the base 1. A stop ring 11 is provided on the disc 10 for engagement with fixed pins 12 on the base 1 and has break-away portions for presetting the limits of movement. In a modification the spring (5<SP>1</SP>c), Fig. 2b (not shown), may be of triangula form mounted by rivets at two corners and carrying a detent projection at the third corner. A central aperture is provided in the spring for the passage of the spindle (14<SP>1</SP>).
