Abstract

1,241,210. Sausage casings. OPPENHEIMER CASING CO. (U.K.) Ltd. 11 Dec., 1969 [12 Sept., 1968], No. 43413/68. Heading A2B. A polyvinylidene chloride casing having a wall thickness of 0.04-0.06mm is shirred on to a former or carrier comprising a selfsupporting tube of polyvinyl chloride or other synthetic plastics material having a wall thickness of 0.20-0.60mm and having a matt, egg-shell like, outer surface. Such outer surface may be applied as a matt coating or by scratching the surface. The casing may be retained on the former by easily removable end-discs of plastics material.
