Abstract

1,114,621. Toggle fasteners. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. 20 Dec., 1965 [31 Dec., 1964], No. 52995/64. Heading E2A. A toggle fastener comprises a bracket with a hinge 5 for a lever 1 which has side slots 4 in which slides a hinge 7 for a stirrup 8 which engages a hook 13. The position of the hinge 7 in the slots 4 is adjusted by a screw 9 which engages a threaded hole in the hinge and rotates freely in a hole in the hinge 5, and is held against axial movement by stops 10, 10a. Alternatively the screw 9 may rotate in a hole in the hinge 7 and engage a threaded hole in the hinge 5 or in another part of the lever 1.
