Abstract
1,104,769. Reel case. MORNINGSTAR CORPORATION. 15 Feb., 1967 [6 July, 1966], No. 7293/67. Heading B8P. A tape reel case comprises a base 104 and a cover 12, and a locking assembly mounted on the cover comprising a gripper bar 64, a cam member 30 in the gripper bar, an expansible grommet 76 with a stud 80 extending upwardly therefrom through the cam and carrying a transverse pin 86 engaging the upwardly facing cam surfaces of the cam 30, rotation of the assembly causing the grommet to be expanded against the sides of the opening 100 in the base member 104. The cam member has a slot (48, Fig. 5, not shown) through which the end of the stud 80 and transverse pin 86 can pass during assembly, and stops 50, 52 which prevent the pin from sliding from the cam face into the opening after such assembly. The disposition of various parts may be reversed, e.g. the cam may be on the grommet support 70 and the stud may be on the gripper bar.
