Abstract
1,197,067. Self cleaning oven linings. E. I. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO. 28 June, 1967, No.29930/67. Heading F4W. [Also in Division C1] Cooking surfaces are subjected to treatment with a composition comprising 0À5-75% of a catalyst and 99À5-25% of an acid resistant enamelling frit having a softening point above 800 F., the catalyst being an oxide of Mu, Fe, Co, Ni, Mo, W or a mixture thereof, or Pt, Pd, Ag, Ru, Rh, Os or Ir, if desired supported on a rare earth metal oxide, Al 2 O 3 , MgO, SiO 2 , TiO 2 , ZrO 2 , CaO or Cr 2 O 3 , or a mixture thereof, which passes 40 mesh, so that cooking soils may be oxidized without subjecting the surfaces to temperatures above 800 F.
