Abstract

1,181,019. Brassieres. K. EVERS. 21 June, 1967 [23 June, 1966; 19 Dec, 1966], No. 28687/67. Heading A3V. A strapless brassiere comprises rigid cups, or as shown, halfcups 1, which may be of metal or preferably, plastics material with downward extensions 2 which are held in frictional engagement with the wearer's skin immediately below the breasts by a band 5 which may form part of a conventional strapless brassiere or of a dress, swimsuit etc. The extensions may pass through loops on the inner face of the brassiere. The cups preferably have a textile covering but may have a decorative outer surface instead. The cups may be padded and ventilation apertures 8 may be provided.
