Abstract

1,152,163. Spray-producers, INSTTTUT FUR CHEMIEANLAGEN. 19 May, 1967, No. 23420/67. Heading B2F. A spray nozzle for spraying a square area uniformly, comprises a cylindrical body 1 defining a hollow chamber within which a whirling device, formed of four vanes 2 attached to a central tube 3, is arranged coaxially. The downstream end of the body 1 is provided with an outlet aperture defined by four V-shaped grooves 5 arranged at 90‹ intervals, the edges defining each groove forming an angle of 60 to 120‹, preferably 80 to 100‹. The vanes rest on a support collar 4 of sawtooth form which enables axial adjustment of the twist insert. The vanes may be planar as shown, or curved (Fig. 4, not shown).
