Abstract

1,144,348. Clamps. WEST MIDLANDS GAS BOARD. 11 Aug., 1966 [11 Aug., 1965], No. 34284/65. Heading E2B. A pipe clamp 10 comprises a mounting portion 13, a seating portion 12 for embracing a pipe and locating formation 26, 27 on the mounting and seating portions, and which is adapted for use on its own for securing a pipe close against a supporting surface and in combination with an attachment part 11 to which it is adapted to be keyed by engagement of the locating formations 26, 27 with complementary formations 25, 28 on the attachment part, for securing a pipe in spaced relation to a supporting surface. As shown, the clamp and attachment part are made of polypropylene and the clamp, with or without the attachment part is secured to a support by a single screw.
