A sintered hard metal has the following composition, by weight:- .Titanium carbide.32-48% .Tungsten carbide.32-48% .Nickel.6-12% .Molybdenum.6-12% .Cobalt.2-6% The material may be used for cutting tools or as a wear resistant material e.g. in rubbing contact with steel.
