1,026,526. Agricultural implements. BENNO GASSNER, and JOHANN GASSNER. May 16, 1963 [May 18, 1962 (2); Nov. 13, 1962; Nov. 23, 1962], No. 19413/63. Heading A1B. A plough connected to a tractor by means of upper and lower links comprises a gauge wheel which determines the depth of cut of the plough and which is mounted on a pivoted arm and is connected by means of a cable to a lever system which on lifting of the gauge wheel introduces a force into the top or bottom link and cancels such force when the gauge wheel drops. As shown in Fig. 5 a cable 68 is attached to a lever system 88 which raises or lowers the upper link 42. When the implement is attached to a tractor having a hydraulic lift system the linkage causes movement of the upper link which results in movement of the links by the hydraulic mechanism. As shown in Fig. 8 the upward movement of the gauge which is transmitted hydraulically by a cylinder 140 to a cylinder 144 which produces a tension in a linkage 142 which produces a pressure in the upper link thus causing the hydraulic mechanism to raise the plough.
