Abstract

1,025,163. Heavy current switches. BROWN, BOVERIE & CO. Ltd. May 19, 1964 [May 21, 1963], No. 20670/64. Heading H2B. A circuit-breaker comprises a fixed contact 2, a moving contact 3 and a coaxial fixed conducting member 5 which is electrically connected with the moving contact 3 by a laminated wiper 4. The contact 3 is mounted upon a rod 11 of a pneumatic actuator 9, 10. The contact 3 and conductors 5 are readily removable and can be replaced by members of greater diameter and greater current carrying capacity and the number of laminations in the wiper 4 can be increased accordingly.
