Abstract

A mould release agent comprises a hardenable mixture of an organopolysiloxane resin and a titanium compound of the formula <FORM:1019321/C3/1> wherein m and p are integers, p being less than 2(m + 1), OR1 is an alkoxy radical, RCOO is an acyloxy radical and the ratio Ti/Si is from 0.001 to 1. The siloxane resin may contain alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, acyloxy or hydroxy radicals. In a typical Example (1) a methylsiloxane resin containing Si-bonded ethoxy radicals, white spirit and Ti(OC4H9)3(CH3COO) are mixed together in the cold, and the resulting liquid is sprayed on a metal mould heated to 150 DEG C. and cured in situ. The composition may also be used in the form of an aerosol.
