Abstract

1,017,302. Endless conveyers. G. PIEMONT. Feb. 14, 1963 [March 2, 1962], No. 6036/63. Heading B8A. An enclosed endless-belt conveyer has a belt 1 with two corrugated retaining walls 2 upstanding from the working face of the belt which slides within metal casings 3, 3<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 1 (not shown), fitted at one end with a feed hopper 7 and at the other with a discharge shoot 8. Lateral guides 9, Fig. 2 (not shown), form grooves to receive edges 1<SP>1</SP> of the belt 1 to support the lower part of the belt particularly when the conveyer is horizontal or inclined. Fig. 4 (not shown) illustrates an arrangement of two horizontal conveyers I, III with an intermediate vertical conveyer III. Distributing valves with associated hoppers 10, 11 enable material to be discharged at different places.
