Abstract

A prefabricated building comprises a hollow central core 1 carrying an elevated floor framework and a roof framework which are provided with appropriate cladding panels, inter connected at their periphery by arcuate wall panels and reinforced by circumferentially disposed buttresses 12, 13, additional tension cables or rods 14 being provided as shown. The core 1 may carry all service conduits and terminute in a chimney 4. The arcuate wall panels are furnished with doors and windows as necessary. The building may have a balcony with or without a roof therefor and be internally divided by partitions. The cladding panels may be of metal, wood or concrete.
