Abstract

The present invention makes it possible to combat human-to-human contamination by infectious agents transmitted by the air via droplets of saliva or any other type of projection. The object consists of a mask in thermoplastic material surrounded all along its periphery with a frame in plastic or acetate or in metal or in a natural material such as horn or tortoiseshell. The frame is hollowed out inside a gutter to allow the mask to be embedded there, like a spectacle lens in its frame. The object rests on the bridge of the user's nose thanks to the ergonomic shape of the frame and is held on the face by branches like the branches of glasses. The mask covers the part of the face located under the bridge of the nose and the lower part of the orbits and covers in particular the nostrils, the mouth, the cheekbones and the chin. For some models, the upper part of the frame may have two gutters to be able to embed in it, in addition to the mask, glasses or a visor. In order to facilitate breathing and maintain a good level of protection, the device will include a system allowing sufficient air to pass while providing effective protection against contamination by droplets of potentially infected saliva. The device is reusable because it is made entirely of washable and disinfectable materials, does not hide the face because the mask is transparent and is comfortable because the frame hugs the nose ergonomically. Finally, by working on the aesthetics of its various components, the stylized object can, in addition to its health interest, be likened to a fashion accessory.
