Claims (10)
- REVENDICATIONS1. Procédé de surveillance d'un dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation disposé dans une ligne d'échappement d'un moteur à combustion interne d'un véhicule, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend les étapes suivantes : - On active ledit procédé de surveillance en cours de fonctionnement du moteur à combustion interne dans une plage prédéterminée de températures d'entrée (2) et de sortie (3) du dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation, - Dans ladite plage prédéterminée de températures d'entrée, on injecte par palier (5, 6) des quantités successives prédéterminées de carburant à l'entrée dudit dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation, une quantité prédéterminée de carburant étant injectée pour chaque palier, ladite quantité prédéterminée de carburant étant supérieure à la quantité injectée lors du palier précédent, - On relève la température en sortie (3) dudit dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation, après chaque quantité prédéterminée de carburant injectée par palier, - On relève la quantité totale injectée pour un palier donné, pour laquelle la température en sortie de dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation commence à décroître, cet évènement déterminant une caractérisation dudit dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation surveillé, - On compare ensuite ladite caractérisation déterminée du dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation surveillé, à une caractérisation test d'un dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation similaire qui a été préalablement établie pour déterminer un seuil à ne pas dépasser de dégradation du dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation surveillé, puis on établit un diagnostic comme suit : - Si ladite caractérisation déterminée range ledit dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation surveillé au-delà dudit seuil à ne pas dépasser de dégradation, alors un diagnostic de défaut du dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation est renseigné dans le véhicule, et - Si ladite caractérisation déterminée range ledit dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation surveillé sous ou au niveau dudit seuil à ne pas dépasser de dégradation, alors un diagnostic de dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation opérationnel est effectué.
- 2. Procédé de surveillance selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ladite caractérisation test détermine une quantité test totale de carburant injectée dans un 3029973 14 dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation similaire, qui correspond au dit seuil à ne pas dépasser de dégradation du dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation surveillé.
- 3. Procédé de surveillance selon l'une des revendications 1 ou 2, dans lequel on établit une échelle de diagnostics de dégradation du dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation 5 surveillé en fonction d'une quantification de la différence entre la caractérisation déterminée et la caractérisation test, en vue de donner dans le véhicule une mesure de la dégradation du dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation surveillé.
- 4. Procédé de surveillance selon l'une des revendications 2 ou 3, dans lequel une quantité prédéterminée de carburant injectée dans la ligne d'échappement est 10 obtenue en divisant ladite quantité test de carburant en une pluralité de quantités divisionnaires dont la valeur est définie en fonction de la finesse recherchée du diagnostic de dégradation.
- 5. Procédé de surveillance selon la revendication 4, dans lequel, à chaque palier, on incrémente la quantité totale de carburant injectée au palier précédent d'une 15 dite quantité divisionnaire de base.
- 6. Procédé de surveillance selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 5, dans lequel ladite quantité test totale de carburant injectée dans un dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation similaire qui correspond au seuil à ne pas dépasser de dégradation du dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation surveillé, est implémentée dans une unité de contrôle 20 électronique du véhicule.
- 7. Procédé de surveillance selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 6, dans lequel l'établissement préalable de ladite quantité test totale de carburant injectée dans un dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation similaire, comprend les étapes suivantes : - On fait vieillir le dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation similaire, à une limite de 25 dégradation dont on cherche la référence pour établir ledit seuil à ne pas dépasser de dégradation du dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation surveillé dans ladite étape de comparaison, - On relève ensuite la quantité totale de carburant injectée dans ledit dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation similaire, à cette limite de dégradation, à partir de laquelle la 30 température de sortie du dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation va décroître, et qui définit ladite quantité test totale de carburant.
- 8. Procédé de surveillance selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 7, caractérisé en ce qu'il est activé de manière intrusive. 3029973 15
- 9. Procédé de surveillance selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, dans lequel ladite température relevée en sortie dudit dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation et qui commence à décroître est comprise entre 150 °Cet 350 °C.
- 10. Dispositif de surveillance de la dégradation d'un dispositif de catalyse 5 d'oxydation disposé dans une ligne d'échappement d'un moteur à combustion interne d'un véhicule, comprenant un dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation, des moyens d'injection successivement par palier de quantités de carburant prédéterminées dans la ligne d'échappement, des moyens de mesure de la température en sortie dudit dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation, des moyens de détermination de la température d'entrée dudit 10 dispositif de catalyse d'oxydation, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend des moyens pour la mise en oeuvre des étapes d'un procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9.
