The present invention relates to a hermetic container (1) for containing a carbonated beverage, which container (1) has an opening (10) delimited by a periphery (12) and equipped with a removable external closure member (6) ensuring a hermetic closure of said associated opening (10). According to the present invention, this container (1) is characterized in that it comprises, in addition, a removable external closure member (11), ensuring a complementary closure of said associated opening (10), in a manner that sealing, covering perforations (9) made through the cover (6), which perforations are gas permeable and liquid impervious. These external sealing members (11) and (6) are able to be removed successively during the opening of said container (1), said external sealing member (11) making it possible to discover the specific perforations which prevent untimely exit of liquid by expansion of the gases before removal of said outer sealing member (6).

Description

The present invention relates to containers for the packaging of soft drinks, such as sodas, beer or water in particular. Metal tins that contain carbonated beverages sometimes pose problems of inadvertent ejection of the conditioned liquid, at the time of their opening, due to the internal pressures present. Such ejections, related to the sudden expansion of the internal gases, often due to too rapid opening of the removable closure means of the container (monobloc seal), cause a loss of the conditioned liquid, and can splash and contaminate the environment as well as, often more embarrassingly, the consumer himself.

For this, the hermetic container according to the invention, intended to contain a carbonated beverage, having an opening delimited by a periphery and equipped with a removable external closure member ensuring a hermetic closure, is characterized in that it comprises, in addition, a flexible member of the removable external sealing tab type (as on the bottom of the yogurt), ensuring a complementary closure. This flexible closure closes perforations with a diameter of about 80 to 140 microns, which are gas-permeable and liquid-impervious. These perforations are made directly on the one-piece opening cap, so that the flexible tongue covers them. It also covers the operating tab and prevents its opening before the flexible tongue is peeled off. These perforations can also be made at another location of the container, as long as the consumer discovers them before opening the metal cap to degas. (FIG. 2b) The perforations make it possible to prevent an inadvertent release of liquid by expansion of the gases during removal of said complementary flexible external closure member (flexible tongue or membrane). Thus, when the opening of the container is initiated by the withdrawal of the flexible outer sealing member, the internal gas under pressure passes through the perforations 30 which by their appropriate diameter retain the conditioned liquid. When all, or almost all, of the gas has been evacuated, this external shutter member can be completely removed (by a direct manual maneuver), to allow in a second time access to the conditioned liquid, in order to its consumption. According to a preferred embodiment, the flexible outer sealing member 35 consists of a tight, elliptical or even circular membrane (or possible rectangular variant) fixed by gluing on top of the container. For this purpose, a food grade glue is preferably used. This membrane (tongue) will also have a sufficient size to convey advertising for advertisers. The container is in the form of a canister having a bottom member, a peripheral body and a cover member, which cover member has an inner face, facing the peripheral body side, and an outer face in the the surface of which is formed a notch delimiting a lid associated with an actuating tongue, which lid is arranged to be able to be folded and projecting from the side of the inner face of said cover member, inside the peripheral body, breaking the notch and pivoting around a folding zone, during a pivoting maneuver of the metal tongue, to form the opening. The flexible outer sealing member is in the form of a membrane (tongue) which is fixed on the outer face of said cover member, on said cover. The invention will be further illustrated, without being limited in any way, by the following description of the embodiment, given by way of example only and shown in the accompanying drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a side view a conventional form (can) of a container according to the invention; FIGS. 2 and 2b (variant) are views from above of the container illustrated in FIG. 1; FIG. 3 is a diagrammatic view, in partial section, of the upper part of the container illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2; FIG. 4 illustrates the opening of the container of FIGS. 1 to 3; The container 1 illustrated in Figures 1 to 4 consists of a metal box, for example aluminum, for containing a carbonated soft drink like sparkling water, beer or soda, for example. This container 1 consists of a bottom member 2, a peripheral body 3 and a cover member 4. The cover member 4 has a generally circular shape, delimited by a peripheral edge 4a, an outer face 4b (facing the outside of the container 1) and an inner face 4c (facing the inside of the container 1, the side of the peripheral body 3). The container 1 is hermetic and it partitions the gaseous liquid conditioned tightly. The peripheral edge 4a of the cover member 4 is here secured by crimping with the upper edge 3a of the peripheral body 3.

La poursuite du mouvement d'arrachement de la membrane entraine la désolidarisation de celle-ci du couvercle 4.For the opening of the container 1, in a conventional manner, a notch or groove 5, forming a breaking initiation line, is formed in the outer face 4b of the cover member 4, delimiting a tab or a cover 6 associated with an external actuating tongue 7, provided with an end nose 8. This tongue 7 is fixed on the side of the lid 6, in a conventional manner, by crimping on a one-piece stud 7a formed on the outer face 4b of the cover element 4. The notch 5, of generally ovoid shape, is interrupted at the operating tongue 7; it is produced in a conventional manner by a thinning of material, obtained by the implementation of a suitable tool, during the manufacture of the lid member 4. The lid 6 constitutes a removable external closure member for the container 1, ensuring a hermetic closure. When the notch 5 is broken by pivoting forcefully upwardly of the actuating tongue 7, the lid 6 is then folded towards the inside of the container 40 (by pivoting around the zone 6a underlying the lip of the tongue 8, devoid of notch 5), and an opening 10 is created allowing the outlet of the conditioned liquid. According to the present invention, the opening 10 associated with the outer sealing cap 6 is equipped with a complementary external closure member 11 consisting of a membrane impermeable to gases and liquids. 45 The periphery of one of the faces of this membrane 11 is fixed on the periphery 12 of the orifice 10 (thus on the periphery of the cap 6), outer side side 4b of the cover member 4, as illustrated. in FIGS. 1 to 3. The membrane 11 is fixed on the cover 6, as well as on the perforations 9 present in the latter, in order to ensure complete sealing before removal of said complementary sealing membrane. The fastening between the membrane 11 and the outer face 4b of the cover member 4 is achieved by means of a suitable glue, preferably a food grade glue. As indicated above, the membrane 11 used has total sealing characteristics. For this purpose, it is possible to use any known membrane, made of a material compatible with food contact, having the characteristics of solidity necessary for its external positioning (packaging requirements by stacking and transporting). The attachment of the membrane 11 to the outer face 4b of the cover element 4 is advantageously made at the end of the industrial manufacturing process of the latter, and therefore after its joining by crimping on the upper edge 3a of the peripheral body 3. This makes placing it particularly easy. The cover member 4 will have been previously perforated by means of lasers or other means of perforation compatible with the required diameters. The establishment of the membrane 11 must nevertheless be done quickly after crimping the lid 4, to ensure the desired pressure in the container. It is also possible to fix by gluing the membrane 11 on the cover 4 before crimping thereof. To crimp it on the container by guaranteeing in advance its total seal. These two possibilities are to confront the industrial process in order to validate the most reliable and least expensive solution. As illustrated in Figure 3, during the tearing operation of the membrane 11, the perforations on the lid 6 are found. At this moment, the pressurized gas inside the container 1 escapes through these specific perforations 9, passing through the still closed cap 6, which keep the conditioned liquid inside the container 1. tearing movement of the diaphragm causes the latter to separate from the cover 4.

The lid 6 is then opened in a conventional manner in order to access the contents.
