Description
The invention relates to a protective casing for gas container equipped with a valve block, with or without built-in expansion valve, and gas container equipped with such a cowling. Industrial and medical gases are commonly packaged in gas containers, typically gas cylinders, equipped with a valve block, with or without built-in expansion valve, namely a single tap open / closed type or an integrated valve regulator, also called RDI, to control flow and pressure of the delivered gas. In order to protect this valve block, it is common to arrange at the level of the neck of the gas bottle and around said valve block, a protective cover forming a protective shell around said valve block. Such a cowling is commonly called "hat". Moreover, to allow the bottle / cap / tap assembly to be hooked to a support, such as a hospital bed bar, a stretcher, a rod or support for attaching an emergency vehicle, for example a SAMU unit or the like, it is customary to arrange on the cap, a fixed attachment system, such as a notch at the bottom of the cap, or a mobile attachment system, either pivoting or retractable. In addition, there is also provided a carrying handle, usually carried by one or support amounts, which is integral with the hull of the cap or is fixed thereto by screwing, gluing or any other suitable technique. Such a cowling mobile or fixed attachment system is described by documents EP-A-629812, DE-A-10057469, US-A-2004/020793 and EP-A-2586481. However, these different existing cowlings have disadvantages.
Thus, the cowlings comprising a carrying handle and support posts which form an integral part of the hull come up against manufacturing constraints. For example, they require the production of a complex mold, which complicates the manufacture of the cowling and leads to more or less important rejects. Furthermore, they require these different parts to be made of the same material, typically made of a polymer, and therefore do not allow to achieve cowlings of mixed materials, for example partly in polymer and partly in aluminum alloy. Conversely, cowls made in several parts fixed to each other, allow greater flexibility of manufacture. However, the assembly of the different parts with each other requires a greater number of fasteners, such as screws or the like, which increases the overall cost of manufacturing the shroud.
- la bouteille contient un gaz à une pression allant jusqu'à 350 bar (pression de 35 service).A problem to be solved is therefore to propose a rollover for a gas bottle comprising a hooking system and a carrying handle carried by one or several support posts which does not have the aforementioned drawbacks, in particular which is easy to assemble thanks to a number of screws or other limited fasteners, and a shorter assembly time. The solution is then a protective casing for a gas container, in particular for a gas cylinder, equipped with a valve block, that is to say that it is with or without integrated expansion valve, comprising: a body of cover forming a protective shell defining an internal volume designed to receive all or part of the valve block, - a hooking device pivoting about an axis AA carried by the casing body, and - at least one support post carried by the body cowling, characterized in that a single fastening element makes it possible to secure the fastening device and at least one support post to the casing body. Depending on the case, the protective covering of the invention may comprise one or more of the following technical characteristics: the single fastening element carries the axis AA. the single fastening element makes it possible to secure the fastening device and two support uprights to the casing body. the two support posts face each other. the one or more support posts carry a carrying handle. the single fastening element is chosen from screws, bolts, or fastening systems by clipping or welding. - The casing body is formed of polymeric material. - The support or amounts are formed of polymer or a metal or metal alloy, in particular plastic material or aluminum alloy. - The plastic material is selected from PVC, PE, PET, PP, PMMA, PU, PA ... - the shell of the protective cowling comprising one or more openings giving access to the valve block. it comprises a rotary wheel for adjusting the gas flow. - It includes a pressure gauge gas pressure gauge. - It comprises an outlet fitting for delivering gas at a desired rate, said connector being connectable to a gas distribution apparatus via a flexible conduit. - It comprises a filling connector for introducing gas into the bottle when it is empty. - It includes a pressurized gas outlet connection to deliver between 4 and 5 bar. - The carrying handle is attached to (s) amount (s) -support (s) by means of one or more fasteners, typically one or more screws or the like. - The attachment device is arranged on the rear face of the cowling. - The attachment device is fixed, via the single fastener, at the upper half of the cowling, preferably at the upper third of the cowling. - The hooking device rotates at an angle less than 180 °, between a so-called completely folded position and a so-called fully unfolded position in which the cowling can be hooked to a support via said hooking device. - The handle overcomes the top of the cowling, that is to say, it is located above the cowling. - It comprises a fastening system for securing the cowling to a gas cylinder, preferably at the neck of the bottle, and / or valve block arranged on the bottle. - It defines an internal volume sized to receive the entire valve block. The invention also relates to a use of a gas container according to the invention for dispensing a gas or gas mixture, in particular the gas or gas mixture is selected from oxygen, air, N20 / 02, He / 02 and NO /nitrogen. The invention will now be better understood thanks to the following detailed description, given by way of illustration but without limitation, with reference to the appended figures in which: FIG. 1 represents a side view of an embodiment of a rollover cover; protection according to the invention, and - Figure 2 is a rear view 3/4 of the cowling of Figure 1.
La bouteille de gaz 2 a une taille comprise entre 0 et 150 cm, et une contenance de 1 à 20 litres (en équivalent eau).Figures 1 and 2 show an embodiment of a rigid protective cover 1, commonly called "cap", arranged around a block 3 valve, namely a valve with or without built-in expansion valve, itself fixed on the neck of a gas cylinder 2. The gas cylinder 2 has a size between 0 and 150 cm, and a capacity of 1 to 20 liters (in water equivalent).
The protective cover 1 is mainly used to protect the valve block 3 against shocks, whether with built-in expansion valve or RDI, or without built-in expansion valve. In general, a protective cover 1 may be open or closed, that is to say have more or less large openings giving access to the valve block 3 located in the internal volume of the cowling 1. When closed, the cowling 1 preserves the valve 3 of dirt and other dusts. Furthermore, the valve 3, typically an RDI-type valve, comprises a rotary handwheel 3a, which can be manipulated by a user, to control the flow of gas, a gas outlet fitting 3b for withdrawing the gas stored in the bottle 2, a 3d pressure gauge for controlling the pressure of the gas remaining in the bottle, a filling connector 3e for introducing gas into the bottle 2 when the latter is empty, and a pressurized gas outlet connection 3f In the embodiment of Figures 1 and 2, the protective casing 1 comprises a casing body 4 forming a protective shell around an internal volume sized to receive the valve block or RDI 3, a carrying handle 6 designed to be handled by an operator , said carrying handle 6 being formed of a rigid material, and one or more support posts 5 mechanically connecting the casing body 4 to the carrying handle 6, that is to say that the one or more support-posts 5 are secured to the carrying handle 6 so as to allow a user to easily transport the cap / valve / bottle assembly.
The body 4 of the cowling 1 is typically made of a material of the polymer and / or metal type, preferably of plastic material, such as PVC, PE, PET, PP, PMMA, PU, PA. can be formed of a plastic material, such as the body of the cowling 1, but also aluminum alloy or any other metallic material.
The body 4 of the protective casing 1 further comprises, in its front face 4a, one (or more) opening through which a user can have access to the rotary wheel 3a and the gas outlet fitting 3b of the valve block or RDI 3. Similarly, the pressure gauge 3d is arranged in another opening located in the front face 4a of the cowling 1 so as to allow the user easy reading of the gas pressure indicated by said pressure gauge 3d.
In order to allow the assembly of the bottle / valve block / cowling assembly on a support, such as a hospital bed or stretcher bar, the protective casing 1 comprises, on the side of its rear face 4b, a device 7 pivoting about an axis AA, between a position called "fully folded" and a position called "fully unfolded", that is to say in the position it adopts when attached to a support. Typically, the pivot angle between these two extreme positions is less than or equal to 170 ° but greater than or equal to 0 °, typically between 90 and 170 °, for example of the order of 150 °. In Figure 1, an example of attachment device 7 is shown in the fully folded position, while in Figure 2, it is shown in fully unfolded position. In this case, the pivot angle between these two positions is of the order of 150 °.
The assembly of the protective casing 1 and its fixing around the valve block 3 carried by the gas cylinder 2, is done by screwing by means of fastening elements 8, namely screws or the like. More specifically, the protective casing 1 comprises several subunits attached to each other, namely mainly the casing body 4, which can itself be formed of one or more components, or the support pillars 5 carrying the handle 6 and the attachment device 7. According to the invention, to facilitate assembly by minimizing the number of screws 8 and reducing the assembly time, the attachment device 7 is mounted on the body 4 of the protective casing 1 via one 8a of the assembly screws 8, which allows not only a fastening of the attachment device 7 to the body 4 of the cowling 1 and its articulation relative thereto, namely its angular pivoting , but also the fixing of one or more support-supports 5. In other words, a single fastening element, such as a single screw 8a, is used to fasten the support pillar (s) 5 and the attachment device 7 pivoting to the casing body 4 and to ensure the pivoteme nt of the attachment device 7 relative to the cowling 1 between the fully folded and fully unfolded positions, and vice versa. The single fastening element, such as a single screw 8a, therefore constitutes the axis AA of pivoting of the attachment device 7. The single fastening element 8 can be a screw, bolt, or any other assembly system. welding or clipping. The gas container 2 equipped with the valve block 3 protected by the cowling 1 according to the invention is particularly well suited for use in the medical field, including hospital, home or in a mobile emergency response unit, type EMS or ambulance.
