Description

i SIEGE POUR VEHICULE AUTOMOBILE i SEAT FOR MOTOR VEHICLE

[1] The invention relates to a seat assembly for a motor vehicle comprising a seat and a panel. The invention also relates to a seating arrangement comprising a plurality of seats and a panel. The invention finally relates to a motor vehicle comprising a seating arrangement according to the invention. [2] The passenger compartment of motor vehicles is more and more flexible. Depending on the needs of the user, it may for example change the position of the seats or enlarge the boot area to optimize the transport of people or the transport of objects. [3] Motor vehicles generally include two rows of seats and a trunk area which is the remaining main storage area in the vehicle. The front row includes two juxtaposed seats with a space between them. The rear row also includes two juxtaposed seats that are glued together, thus often forming a bench. [4] These vehicles can carry four to five people. When some seats are not occupied, it may be interesting to enlarge the storage area of the vehicle, including the area that is constituted by the chest area. For this purpose, the rear seats and the front seat comprise a seat and a folding backrest by pivoting on the seat. To enlarge the storage area of the trunk, you can fold the backrest row of rear seats. In this way, the space is enlarged to the back of the seats of the front row. This space can be further enlarged by folding the back of the front passenger seat. [5] The surface defining the lower area of the storage space may further be optimized by extending the floor area of the boot. For this purpose, the seat can be arranged in the vehicle so that once the seat back is folded down on the seat cushion, the upper face of the backrest is in the extension of the boot floor. In this way, when the back is folded down, the floor surface of the storage space is flat and continuous. [6] Objects may be placed on the floor at the rear of the vehicle for transportation. Be it bulky objects or small objects, they can slide towards the front of the vehicle when the vehicle brakes for example and falls on the ground between the driver and the front passenger. This falling objects, on the one hand, damage the objects themselves and, on the other hand, hurt the occupants of the vehicle. is [7] The object of the present invention is to enlarge and optimize the storage area in a vehicle in a secure area which objects are not likely to come out. [8] For this purpose, the invention relates to a seat for a motor vehicle equipped with a seat and a backrest mounted to rotate on the seat about an axis located at the intersection of an edge of the seat. backrest and seat between a raised position and a folded position, characterized in that the edge of the backrest opposite the axis of rotation forms a rim which protrudes from the middle plane of the rear face of the backrest 25 and which is oriented towards the top of the vehicle when the backrest is folded down. [9] Advantageously, the rim comprises a slot. [10] The opening of the slot preferably has a trapezoidal shape. [1 1] The rim advantageously forms an angle between 90 and 120 degrees with the average plane of the back surface of the backrest. [12] The invention also relates to a seat arrangement for a motor vehicle comprising two rows of seats each consisting of two seats juxtaposed, the entire row of rear seats having a seat and a backrest rotatably mounted on the seat around an axis located at the intersection of an edge of the backrest and the seat between a raised position and a folded position, characterized in that the edge of the file opposite the axis of rotation forms a flange which makes protrusion relative to the average plane of the rear face of the backrest and which is oriented towards the top of the vehicle when the folder is folded down. [13] Advantageously, the rim comprises two slots located opposite the two front seats. [14] The width of the opening of the slots corresponds advantageously to the width of the backs of the front seats [15] Preferably, the opening of the slots has a trapezoidal shape. [16] The arrangement advantageously comprises a panel on the rear face of the backrest and the flange is located on one edge of the panel, the panel being movable between a vertical position against the raised backrest and a horizontal position against the folded backrest. [17] The panel is preferably rotatably mounted about an axis coinciding with the edge opposite the flange. [18] The invention finally relates to a motor vehicle comprising a seating arrangement according to any one of claims 7 to 11 comprising a shelf behind the rear row of seats adapted to cover the trunk storage space characterized in that the end of the shelf which faces the panel flange has a shape complementary to that of the flange so as to form a continuous flat surface above the storage space when the panel is vertical. [19] The vehicle advantageously comprises a rear flap which is adapted to open and close the trunk and to which the rear shelf is secured. [20] Other features and advantages will become clear from the description which is given below, by way of indication and in no way limiting, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: - Figure 1 is a perspective view of a row of rear seats whose backs are equipped with a flange according to the invention; - Figure 2 is a perspective side view of the back row of seats according to Figure 1 and the boot area; - Figure 3 is a rear perspective view of a row of front seats and a row of rear seats according to Figure 1 whose folders are folded; FIG. 4 is a perspective rear view of the seats illustrated in FIG. 3 in which the backrest of the front seat is folded down; - Figure 5 is a view of a housing in a dashboard. [26] A motor vehicle generally comprises a row 1 of front seats, a row 3 of rear seats and 25 a boot area 5 located at the rear of the vehicle. [27] The row 1 of front seats comprises a driver seat 7 and a passenger seat 9 disjoint, that is to say two seats that are not contiguous to one another. Each seat comprises a backrest 8 and a seat 10. The backrest 8 of the passenger seat 9 is rotatable about an axis so as to fold the backrest on the seat 10 in the retracted position which is visible in FIG. [23] Figure 1 shows a row of rear seats. The row 3 of the rear seat comprises a seat 11 and a seat 13 juxtaposed substantially forming a bench. Each seat 11 and 13 comprises a seat 15, a backrest 17 and a headrest 19. [24] The backs 17 are rotatably mounted on the seats 15 about an axis of rotation AA 'located at the edge In this way, the backrests 17 i can be folded over the seat 15 in the retracted position or raised in the position of use. [25] The rear face 21 of the backs 17 forms a rectangular surface delimited along its length by an upper edge 23 and a lower edge 25 and on its width by two lateral edges 27 and 29. [26] The upper edge 23 of the The rear edge 21 of the backs 17 is extended by a flange 31. The flange protrudes from the middle plane of the rear face 21 of the backrests 17. It forms an angle of between 90 and 120 degrees with the rear face 21. The 20 flange 31 comprises a ridge 33. The flange 31 is rigid. [27] According to an embodiment not shown, the edge of the flange may have a rectilinear or sinusoidal shape for example. [28] According to FIG. 1, the ridge 33 of the flange 31 comprises slots whose openings 35 have a trapezoidal shape. [29] The openings 35 are located opposite the backrests 8 of the seats 7 and 9 of the row 1 of the front seats so that when the rear seat backs are folded down, the openings 35 coincide with the width I of the files 8 30 according to FIG. 3. The two openings 35 make it possible to fold the backrest 17 of the rear row 3 completely and to lengthen the storage box surface. The flared shape of the openings 35 prevents the backrests 17 from remaining blocked during their folding against the front backs 13 and 11. [30] The width of the rectangular surface formed by the rear face 21 of the backrests 17 is such that, when the backs 17 are folded down, the upper edge 23 of the files is at the intersection of the seat 10 and the backrest 8 of the front seat. In this way, the length of the trunk is lengthened. [31] When the rear seatbacks 17 are folded over the seat 15 as in FIG. 3, the flange 31 is in a substantially vertical inclined position. In this position, the flange 31 acts as a load stop for the objects stored in the trunk. [32] When the backs 17 are in the raised position as in Fig. 2, the flange surface is horizontally oriented toward the rear of the vehicle above the trunk area. In this position, the rim forms part of a trunk shelf. [33] The backs 17 may further comprise on their rear face 21 a panel (not shown) covering the surface described above. In this way, the panel covers the entire back surface of the backs of the bench. This panel can be completely secured to the back of the folders and have no relative movement relative to the records. It can also be rotatably mounted around its axis which is in the vicinity of the axis of rotation of the seats and parallel to the latter. [34] Figure 2 shows the trunk area 37 which constitutes the main storage space in the vehicle. The trunk area is delimited by the trunk floor 39, the rear face 21 of the row 3 of rear seats, a trunk flap 41 and a shelf 43. [35] The trunk floor 39 is flat and located at the same location. level as the axis of rotation AA 'of the rear row of seats 3 so that, when the backrest 17 is folded down, the surface constituted by the boot floor 39 and the rear face 21 of the rear seat backs forms a substantially flat storage space as shown in Figure 3. [36] The flap 41 is mounted movable in rotation about an axis (not shown in the figures) located along the upper edge of the opening of the chest. [37] The tablet 43 serves to hide the contents of the safe area 37 and to pose objects. The tablet 43 is located substantially at the upper edge 23 of the rear face 21 of the backs 17, at the base of the headrest 19. [38] The tablet 43 comprises two parts: a first portion 45 is secured to the flap 41 and a second portion is formed by the flange 31 of the rear face 21 of the backs 17. The free edge 47 of the first portion 45 and the free edge 49 of the flange 31 cooperate to form the flat surface and full of the tablet 43. According to an embodiment not shown, and as already indicated above, the shape of the free edges of each portion may be rectilinear or have a sinusoidal shape. [39] According to Fig. 2, the first portion 45 of the shelf 43 is in a horizontal position above the storage area of the chest area 37 when the flap 41 is closed. When the flap opens (not shown), it carries with it the first part of the shelf, thus opening up the trunk storage space. [40] According to Figure 2, the second portion 31 of the tablet 43 (or flange) is in a horizontal position when the backrest 17 of the rear seats are raised. As seen above, the ridge 49 of the flange 31 has a shape complementary to that of the free edge 47 of the first portion 45. The free edge 47 also comprises two crenellations whose openings have a trapezoidal shape. In this trapezoidal configuration, the free edge of the first part and the free edge (or the edge) of the second part (or flange) cooperate by interlocking so as to form a tablet whose surface is flat and solid. [41] We will now see how the rim according to the invention is implemented. s [42] When the backrest 17 of the back row 3 are raised, the flange 31 is a part of the tablet 45. If the user opens the flap 41 of the trunk, the first portion 45 of the tablet 45 is driven by the [43] When the backrest 17 of the rear row of seats 3 are folded down, the flange 31 serves as a load stop. In this way, the user can load objects onto the flat surface of the storage space. If the stored objects slide towards the front of the vehicle when the vehicle is running, they are stopped longitudinally by the rim and do not fall to the ground at the front of the vehicle. [44] The trunk storage area 37 can be enlarged by folding the backrest 8 of the passenger seat 9. In this manner, the user can load a long object 51 in accordance with FIG. 4. In this way, the user can load a long object on the passenger side on the flat surface of the storage space. If the stored objects slide towards the side of the vehicle when it is running, they are stopped laterally by the sides 53 and 55 of the trapezoidal opening 35. [45] To improve this transverse blocking of long objects, there may be a support 53 formed on the dashboard 55 in accordance with Figures 4 and 5. The support is placed in front of the passenger seat in the extension of the floor 39 of 30 trunk .
