Abstract

The cushion has a cushion fixation device (18) comprising two identical elastic fixation units (40) that are associated with respective actuating buttons (42). Each button (42) is movable with respect to a cushion (12) and is connected to the respective fixation unit (40) such that the displacement of the button deforms the unit (40) so as to insert the unit (40) in a housing of a seat and/or remove the unit (40) from the housing. Each button is displaced between rest and active positions and is controlled in the rest position by the elasticity of a return spring.

Description

The present invention relates to a removable cushion for a vehicle seat

  automobile, of the type comprising a device for releasably securing the cushion to a motor vehicle seat, comprising at least one

  fixing member intended to be received in a corresponding receiving housing formed in a seat for fixing the cushion on this seat.

  There are motor vehicle seats provided with booster cushions removably attached to an upper part of the back of a seat. For this purpose, a headrest cushion is for example provided with two rigid fixing rods intended to be engaged in fixing wells provided in the upper part of the folder.

  Furthermore, motor vehicle seats are generally sized for adult passengers, and do not provide a satisfactory lateral support for children, sitting on the seat or on a child seat itself fixed on the seat.

  FR-A-2,710,013 discloses removable lateral support cushions for a motor vehicle seat, provided with removable attachment hooks on an upper part of a backrest, or a fixing bar provided with clips intended to be snapped onto pins for attaching a headrest cushion.

  An object of the invention is to provide a removable seat cushion for a motor vehicle, provided with simple fastening means, robust, and low manufacturing cost.

  For this purpose, the invention proposes a removable cushion of the aforementioned type, characterized in that the fixing member is elastic, the fixing device comprising at least one actuating member movable relative to the cushion, the body of actuation being connected to the fixing member so that a displacement of the actuating member causes a deformation of the fastener for inserting the fastener into the housing and / or extract the housing fixing member.

  According to other embodiments, the removable cushion comprises one or more of the following characteristics, taken individually or in any technically possible combination: the fixing member is a metal wire; - The fixing member comprises a retaining hook portion, intended to cooperate with a corresponding relief of the housing, to prevent the extraction of the fastener inserted in the housing; the fastener has a U-shaped shape, and comprises a branch having its end portion fixed on a support of the fastening device, and a movable branch carrying the hook portion, and having its end portion bonded to the actuating member, so that a displacement of the actuating member causes a displacement of the movable arm for disengaging the hook portion of the corresponding relief of the housing; - The actuating member is slidably mounted on the cushion in a direction substantially parallel to an extension direction of the hook portion of the movable arm; - The cushion comprises an elastic member for returning the button in the rest position; and the fixing member extends essentially outside the cushion, the end portions of the branches being inserted inside the cushion.

  The invention also relates to a set of motor vehicle seat, comprising a seat and a removable cushion as defined above, the seat comprising a housing for receiving an elastic fastener of the removable cushion.

  According to other advantageous features: the housing comprises a wall provided with a retaining relief engaged with the retaining hook when the fixing member is inserted in the housing; and the retaining relief comprises an inclined face oriented towards an opening of the housing.

  The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising a motor vehicle seat assembly as defined above.

  The invention and its advantages will be better understood on reading the description which follows, given solely by way of example, and with reference to the appended drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view of a rear seat of a motor vehicle, according to the invention, on which are fixed several removable lateral support cushions; - Figure 2 is a schematic perspective view of a removable lateral support cushion, showing a removable attachment device of the cushion; - Figure 3 is a sectional view along line III-III of Figure 2, wherein fasteners of the fixing device are in a rest position; and Figure 4 is a view similar to that of Figure 3, wherein the fasteners are in a deformed position.

  As shown in Figure 1, the rear seat 2 is of the three-seat type P1, P2, P3, and comprises a seat 4, and a backrest 6 made in two parts 8, 10 foldable independently of one another , according to a known provision, called 2 / 3-1 / 3.

  In order to adapt the right places P1 and central P2 for children, removable lateral support cushions 12 are arranged at places P1 and P2.

  Each of the places P1 and P2 is equipped with a pair of cushions 12 fixed on the seat 4 and a pair of cushions 12 fixed on the part 8.

  Each cushion 12 forms, on the backrest or the seat of the square P1, P2 corresponding, a raised lateral region of support improving the lateral support legs or bust of an occupant sitting in place P1 or P2.

  The spacings between the cushions 12 are different between the square P1, adapted to receive a child of average size, and the square P2, adapted to receive a child of small size.

  The cushions 12 are substantially identical. Only a cushion 12 and its operation will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 2 to 4.

  The cushion 12 comprises a flexible liner 14, an outer cover 16, and a device 18 for detachably attaching the cushion 12 to a seat.

  The lining 14 is for example a synthetic foam. The cover 16 is for example made of fabric, and comprises an opening 17 (FIG. 3) for inserting the lining 14 and the fixing device 18 inside the cover 16.

  Referring to Figure 2, where only the fastener 18 and the contour of the liner 14 are shown to better show the fastener 18, the cushion 12 has a generally elongate shape along an axis L, and has a section transversely triangular transverse.

  The cushion 12 has three longitudinal faces 20, 22, 24, and two end faces 26, the faces 20, 22, 24 and 26 being interconnected by rounding.

  The longitudinal faces comprise a substantially flat bottom face 20 intended to be applied against a seat, a lateral bearing surface 22, substantially concave, and on which is intended to abut an occupant, and a substantially convex face 24.

  The fixing device 18 comprises a support 28 having, in view along the axis L, a substantially inverted T shape, the branch of which is formed by a substantially rectangular plate 30, elongated along the axis L, and whose foot is formed by a frame 32 integral with the plate 30.

  The plate 30 extends substantially in the plane of the face 20, and the armature 32 extends from the plate 30 towards the inside of the cushion 12.

  The lining 14 covers the support 28, and gives the cushion 12 its general shape.

  The lining 14 covers the frame 32, and comprises longitudinal beads 34 arranged on each side of the frame 32. A bead 34 defines the face 22, and the other bead 34 defines the face 24.

  The plate 30 is covered by the liner 14 on the side facing the inside of the cushion 12, and uncovered on the outwardly facing side of the cushion 12. The plate 30 defines the central zone of the face 20.

  The lining 14 comprises two longitudinal strips 36 extending transversely to the plate 30, and defining lateral zones of the face 20.

  The liner 14 is sufficiently thick and dense to prevent, in normal operation, a passenger bearing on the face 22 or 24 feels the fastener 18 under the lining 14.

  The plate 30 is provided with a central slot 38 elongate parallel to the axis L. The opening 17 is located opposite the slot 38 (Figure 3).

  The armature 32 comprises a housing 39 opening out of the cushion 12 through the slot 38.

  The fastening device 18 comprises two substantially identical elastic fasteners 40, each associated with a respective actuating button 42.

  Each member 40 consists of a wire, for example metal, generally bent U, and comprising two branches 44, 46 located in the same plane.

  The members 40 extend essentially outside the cushion 12 in a plane substantially parallel to the axis L and perpendicular to the plate 30, passing through the slot 38. The branches 44, 46 of each member 40 extend substantially perpendicular to the plate 30.

  The free end portions 48, 50 of the limbs 44, 46 of each member 40 are engaged in the housing 39, inside the cushion 12, through the slot 38. An end portion 48 of a branch 44 , denominated fixed thereafter, is fixed on the frame 32 being folded 180 around a lug 49 of the frame 32. The other branch 46, called mobile later, has its end portion 50 curved so that its end is oriented substantially along the axis L, and connected to the associated button 42.

  In a section located outside the cushion 12, the movable arm 46 of each member 40 is folded to form a relief 51 forming a retaining hook extending in the plane of the branches 44, 46, on the opposite side to the fixed branch. 44, and substantially parallel to the axis L. The members 40 are arranged so that their fixed limbs 44 are adjacent and parallel, and their movable limbs 46 extend away from each other.

  As can be seen more clearly in FIG. 3, each knob 42 is slidably mounted along the axis L in a sleeve 54 integral with the armature 32 and opening on a face 26.

  Each button 42 is disposed on a respective face 26, in the direction of which extends the end portion 50 of the movable arm 46 of the corresponding member 40.

  The end portion 50 of the movable arm 46 is supported on an end 56 of the button 42 facing the inside of the cushion 12.

  The button 42 is movable between a rest position (FIG. 2 and 3), in which the button is flush with the face 26, and an active position (FIG. 4), into which it is pushed inside the sleeve 54.

  The button 42 is biased in the rest position by the elasticity of the associated member 40 and, optionally, by a return spring 60 interposed between the button 42 and the armature 32.

  When the button 42 is depressed (FIG. 4), the movable arm 46 of each member 40 is moved closer to the fixed branch 44.

  A portion 64 of the bench 2 comprises a lining 66 having a bearing surface 68 covered by a cover 70.

  The bearing surface 68 is the surface of the seat 4 or backrest 6 on which rests an occupant seated on the seat.

  The cover 70 comprises a slot 72. The cover 66 comprises a housing 74 for receiving the members 40, having an opening 75 opening on the surface 68 opposite the slot 72.

  Each housing 74 has the shape of an elongated groove in the plane of Figures 3 and 4, and is delimited at its ends by end walls 76. The distance between the walls 76 is substantially equal to the distance between the movable branches 46.

  Each wall 76 comprises a relief 78 adapted to be engaged with the relief 51 of a movable branch 46 when the members 40 are introduced into the housing 74. Each relief 78 has a slightly inclined face 80 and oriented towards the opening 75 to facilitate the introduction of members 40, and a retaining face 82 strongly inclined and oriented towards the bottom 84 of the housing 74, with which the relief 51 of the branch 46 is engaged to retain the corresponding member 40 when inserted in dwelling 74.

  To fix the cushion 12, the user pushes the buttons 42 to compress the members 40 and bring the branches 46 together (FIG. 4), then pushes the members 40 into the housing 74.

  Then, the user releases the buttons 42, so that the members 40 relax, and the movable branches 46 resume their original position. In doing so, the reliefs 51 engage under the reliefs 78, and thus prevent the removal of the cushion 12 (Figure 3).

  When the members 40 are engaged in the housings 74, the cushion 12 is locked on the seat transversely to the axis L, that is to say perpendicular to the plane of FIG. 3. The housings 74 are arranged in such a way that the cushion 12 extends longitudinally along the body of the occupant, so that the cushion 12 constitutes a lateral support for an occupant sitting on the bench 2.

  To remove the cushion 12, the user pushes the buttons 42, which deforms the branches 46 and releases the reliefs 51 reliefs 78. The user then raises the cushion 12.

  The handling of the cushion 12 is easy. In addition, the members 40 provide effective maintenance of the cushion 12 while being lightweight, and low cost.

  Alternatively, the wire is replaced by a wire made of another material sufficiently strong to ensure the maintenance of the cushion, and sufficiently elastic to allow the deformation of the members 40.

  In an optional variant, the lining 66 is provided with reinforcing inserts around or in the housing 74, to limit deformation of the liner 66 under the effect of the members 40, and thus ensure the cooperation of the members 40 and the housing 74 .

  As illustrated in Figure 1, each portion 8 and 10 comprises housings 74 located at different locations, and in particular at different heights, for placing the cushions 12 according to the morphology of an occupant.

  The invention also applies to the headrest cushions, and generally to the removable cushions for attachment to a seat to provide additional support.

  The invention applies to benches and also to individual seats.

Claims (11)

  1.- removable cushion (12) for a motor vehicle seat, of the type comprising a removable fastening device (18) of the cushion (12) on a motor vehicle seat, comprising at least one fixing member (40) intended to be inserted in a corresponding housing (74) formed in the seat for fixing the cushion (12) on this seat, characterized in that the fixing member (40) is elastic, the fixing device (18) comprising at least one member actuator (42) movable relative to the cushion (12), the actuating member (42) being connected to the fastener (40) so that a displacement of the actuating member (42) ) causes a deformation of the fixing member (40) for inserting the fixing member (40) in the housing (74) and / or for extracting the fixing member (40) from the housing (74) .   2. Cushion according to claim 4, characterized in that the actuating member (42) is slidably mounted on the cushion (12) in a direction (L) substantially parallel to an extension direction of the portion (51). forming a hook of the mobile branch (44).   6. Cushion according to any one of claims 4 to 6, characterized in that the fastener (40) extends substantially outside the cushion (12), the end portions (48, 50 ) branches (44, 46) being inserted inside the cushion (12).   8. A motor vehicle seat assembly, comprising a seat, characterized in that it comprises a removable cushion (12) according to any one of the preceding claims, the seat having at least one housing (74) for receiving a seat. an elastic fastener (40) of the cushion (12).   9. An assembly according to claim 8 dependent on claim 3, characterized in that the housing (74) comprises a wall provided with a retaining relief (78) engaged with the retaining hook (51) when the organ fastener (40) is inserted into the housing (74).   10.
