Description

BIDON REFRIGERANT
REFRIGERANT CAN
The invention relates to a cooling container, more particularly intended to receive and contain a drink or a refreshing liquid, to be kept cool for a relatively long period.
During many sports activities and in particular in cycling, cans are used, generally made of plastic material, containing a drink or water to refresh the runner during the race.
The competitions can be relatively long 4 to 5 hours, or even longer the temperature of the liquid contained in the container increases as a function of the heat exchange of the content of the container and of the outside ambient air. Therefore the liquid which had been introduced fresh inside the container returns to room temperature and is no longer refreshing.
In order to overcome these drawbacks, a container of the type in question has been proposed. Carrying at its periphery a wall containing a eutectic liquid which, in a known manner, presents a phenomenon of eutexia at a determined temperature, and is therefore susceptible to release frigories at a determined temperature for a period also determined.
The disadvantage of this system lies in the fact that it requires, prior to the use of the container, to place it in its entirety in a refrigerating appliance, and does not allow to have flexible walls in order to raise the liquid by pressure.
The outer wall of the container containing the said eutectic liquid does not allow sufficient insulation to obtain a shelf life of the fresh product, its holding performance does not exceed one hour approximately.
The object of the invention is to provide a cooling container making it possible to maintain a liquid at a determined temperature, at or below 10 [deg] C, for at least 5 hours, thus overcoming the various drawbacks mentioned above. container made to receive a liquid to be kept cool, has at its upper part a stopper provided with a reversibly closable orifice.
According to the invention, this container receives a removable refrigerant cartridge, intended to be inserted inside said container by its base and held therein by a hermetic screwing In other words, the invention consists in positioning a cartridge refrigerant inside the volume defined by the container and removable therein, so as to allow the cooling of the single cartridge, in particular by means of a refrigerating appliance or other equivalent installation, and no longer the entire container as we know it today.
This cartridge is of elongated shape and has a multitude of reliefs, in order to increase the heat exchange surface, and the efficiency of the yield thereof. This therefore lengthens the effective cooling time of the cartridge at liquid, since this cartridge is filled by means of a complex material or a chemical mixture of four compounds of only partial miscibility of one in the other, having a determined eutexia point between -11 and -2 [ deg] C for a temperature holding range of a liquid between -2 [deg] and +12 [deg] C adaptable as required In a first embodiment of the invention, this cartridge is maintained by means of a threaded end fitting which is screwed under the container after introduction into the latter by a threaded hole provided for this purpose. In another embodiment of the invention, the container is formed of two elements, respectively upper comprising the cap, and infé laughing, the two elements being joined reversibly at a low and variable area and allowing free communication between said elements. This joining is carried out either by means of a screwed ring or by means of a clip and screwed ring either by a male and female thread designed for molding the 2 elements of the container, the upper and lower elements can be secured at the level of the neck of the container in the same way as described above in 12 and 13 by the ring 14 The way in which the he invention can be carried out and the advantages which ensue therefrom will emerge more clearly from the example of embodiment which follows given by way of nonlimiting indication in support of the appended figures.
FIG. 1 corresponds to a schematic sectional representation of a container according to the invention. FIG. 2 is a schematic perspective representation of the container of FIG. 1.
The embodiment described in connection with FIG. 1 relates to a container more specially adapted to cycling sport. Of course, this embodiment cannot limit the invention to this sole field of application, and any application, whether sporting or domestic of this container, falls within the scope of the present invention.
The container according to Figure 1 consists of two elements, respectively an upper element (1) and a lower element (2), and made for example of high density polyethylene food grade, in particular according to the technique of l injection blowing.
The upper element (1) has at its upper part an opening (3), closed by means of a plug (4), itself comprising an orifice which can be closed reversibly by means of a sliding system (5,6) and itself reversibly protected by means of a cap 7) secured to the cap (4).
In known manner, in order to have access to the opening of the upper element (1), the cap (7) is removed, the sliding element (5) is drawn, the internal end of which abuts against the face internal of the plug (4), thus partially freeing the opening (3) to let the liquid contained in the container pass through. The lower end (10) of the element (1) is also open and is intended to communicate with the upper end (11) of the lower element (2) as can be seen in FIG. 1 In fact, these two elements (1) and (2) are intended to be assembled in a reversible and waterproof manner. level of the zones (10) and (11), in particular by means of a screwed or screwed and clipped ring (12), so as to allow the free communication of the liquid between the two elements (1) and (2) and the perfect cleaning of the two elements.
This ring (12) cooperates with the respectively lower (10) and upper (11) ends of the containers (1) and (2) at their external part, in particular by clipping or by screwing in a variant of the invention, the ring (12) can be glued on one of the elements (1,2) and clipped or screwed on the other in order to constitute the container itself.
According to a fundamental characteristic of the invention ,! lower element (2) receives a cartridge (8), filled with a complex material presenting a eutectic product towards a variable holding temperature of 6 to 10 [deg] C. This cartridge (8) of relatively elongated shape, is removable and is received at the base of the canister and in its center by screwing on male thread on the cartridge part and female on the canister body N [deg] 2 The cartridge is advantageously made of high density polyethylene food grade and has a capacity of 80 ml.
As can be seen in Figure 1, the cartridge (8) has reliefs around its entire periphery, so as to increase the heat exchange surface with the liquid in the container, and to optimize the yield of this exchange.
In this way, when one wishes to use the container, either: A) the two elements constituting the container (1,2) are separated and the element at the bottom is placed with the cartridge screwed into its base in the freezer or in the freezer of a refrigerator at a minimum temperature of -10 [deg] C to allow the cartridge to accumulate the quantity of cold sufficient for approximately 6 hours and at a temperature lower than 5 [deg] C at the temperature of l 'eutexia. B) or simply unscrew the cartridge from the base of the container and proceed to the same operations as above without being obliged to separate the two bodies of the container.
When the container is actually used, this cartridge is replaced by screwing it onto the lower base of the container element (2). The two elements (1,2) are re-joined using the thread provided for this purpose and then filled the can thus reconstituted by the opening (3) with a cooling liquid, after retraction of the cap (4).
In this way, said liquid can be kept for a relatively long period at a desired temperature, ie for a period of 5 hours at a temperature of 8 to 10 [deg] C, which the other cans known to date did not allow. '' obtain, in any case in a simple and effective way as long.
We thus conceive of the numerous applications of this type of container, in particular for different domestic uses, but also for camping activities, etc. To do this, we adapt the size and capacity of the cartridge according to the capacity of the container.
