Abstract

The invention concerns a method and an installation for measuring and regulating the flow rate of a metal liquid in an ingot mould equipped with an electromagnetic brake with sliding field (9). The invention enables to measure the voltage or current of at least one powering source of the electromagnetic brake and extract the flow rate from said information.
