Abstract

The bag (10), made especially from a thermoplastic film material, has its free edges (11, 13) closed by a weld (20), and incorporates an inner inverted U-section strip (22) for re-closure after initial opening. The inner strip is welded to the bag's inner walls, has a closure (30) made from interlocking male and female sliding elements (24, 26), and an opening cord (28). The top of the bag can have pre-cut lines beneath the upper weld (20) to facilitate initial opening.
