Description

The present invention relates to an apparatus for collecting tennis balls
Apparatus designed for collecting tennis balls already exists. However, of whatever type, they have the following drawbacks: slow pick-up, special attention needed to catch bales or pollution, if only by noise when the device is powered
The advantages of the present invention reside in the speed with which numerous balls are sent - one hundred and one and a half minutes with a small device - in the bale receiver (3) while the device (I) is of simple realization. , easy to use and very space-saving storage since it is entirely comfortable in the boot of an automobile. It is also light since it can be carried easily by one person.
The subject of the invention is therefore an apparatus (I) intended for picking up and storing tennis balls comprising two parts:
- a ball sweeper (2) in which the balls are struck and guided towards
- a bale receiver (3) which will receive these bales and which, when the user desires, can be raised so as to be within easy reach of the user. This one will be able to take the balls without stooping
The invention will be better understood by referring to the following figures
Figure hQ I shows the essential components of the device
Figures NQ 2, 3 and 4 show details of the paddle system
Figure N2 5 shows in three quarters profile the bale receiver in the raised position
Figure NQ 6 shows the external appearance of the device
Figure NQ I shows all of the various essential elements of the device (I), one side cheek removed. There is a front part (9) or ball receiver which will receive the balls sent to the ball scanner (2). The paddles (4) are fixed on an axis (5) which is driven by a belt (6) connected to the front wheel (7) .The arrows show the circuit carried out by the balls which enter the device thanks to the tilted plane (I2). The balls, struck by the blades (4) rotate around the axis (5), trapped between two blades and the semi-cylindrical part (8) constituting the bottom of the device. Then they are channeled, pardoned with the visor (II) to the bale receiver ()) where they are stored
It will also be noted that each time the front wheel (7) has a full turn, the blades which are coupled to it by the belt (6) also make a full turn and therefore each turn of the front wheel ( 7), four ball shipments are made. The maneuverability of the device is increased by the fact that the rear wheel (9) is pivotable
Figure Ng 2 details the blade system (4) seen in profile. Note that when the device (I) is pushed on the balls; these will be in front of an inclined plane (Id)
The blades (4) are moved relative to the center (I3) of the square section axis (5) which causes them to rotate. The bale sweeper could have two paddles, three paddles or more. litais, to support three blades, the axis should have a triangular section, for five blades, a pentagonal section
Figure N also shows the blades (4) in profile. For greater rigidity, they have been folded at right angles to their edges and the folded part (I4) is fixed to a circular plate (I5) pierced with a square hole. , which allows it to be mounted on the square part of the axis. A circular plate (I5) reinforcing the blades is therefore placed on each side of the axis (5)
The ends of the axis (5) are turned to obtain a cylindrical end (I6)
Figure NQ 4 shows the cylindrical axis on which a dressed bearing (I7) has been mounted in its cage (I8). On the auric cylin axis is tensioned the belt (6) which transmits the movement to the blades (4)
Figure N25 shows three-quarters profile of the bale receiver (3) in the raised position. On the latero-anterior edges of the bale sweeper (2) and on the latero-rear edges of the bale receiver (3), a slide system (I9) allows the user, thanks to a handle (20) located on the bale receiver (3) to mount this bale receiver
When the bale receptor (3) is in the high position, a plate (21) opens thanks to a hinge (22) on the bar (23) fixed on the slide (I9) Thus, the bale receptor cannot descend . When the user wants to lower the bale receptor (3) to put the device in the pickup position or to store it in a vehicle, it. must fold the plate (2I) against the wall of the ball receiver (3)
Figure N2 6 shows the external appearance of the device (I) in the bale picking position. The visor (II) is removed using the pusher (24). The cross bar (23) fixed on the two side rails (I9) and the cross bar (25) fixed on the adjustable side uprights (IO) serve as a socket for carrying the device
