Abstract

The sole according to the invention is noteworthy in that it is composed of at least one layer of a first material 2, which is flexible and compact, and of a layer of a second material 1, which is lightweight and resilient, having a calorific value greater than the first, the said first material being a cork and the said second material being wool.

SHOE SOLE
The present invention relates to the insoles for shoes, more specifically the additional soles which are arranged on the so-called "first insole" sole lining the shoes.

 Articles of this kind are well known and the materials most often used in their manufacture are mainly leather and synthetic foam.

 Although the comfort provided by these articles cannot be the subject of major criticisms, one can however doubt their solidity. Thus, some soles, after some time of use, crush and even tear.

 The present invention relates to a sole which does not have such drawbacks insofar as it is made of a composite material which offers both good qualities of resistance and a certain insulation comfort.

 More specifically, the subject of the invention is a sole which is composed of at least one layer of a first flexible and compact material and of a layer of a second light and elastic material, having a calorific value greater than the first.

 The layer of first material will preferably serve as a support for the layer of second material and will be arranged in contact with the sole called "first of cleanliness" and / or the sole of the foot.

 The layer of first material, offering the required qualities of flexibility and compactness, will consist of a cork plate of which we know the power of resistance to crushing. The layer of second material will be made with wool, for example carded wool, which will provide the sole thus obtained with the necessary heat-insulating qualities.

 In a preferred embodiment, the layer of second material, in other words wool, will be between two layers of cork. This will provide a sole consisting of a very light core isolated from any physical contact by the layers of the first material more resistant to mechanical wear.

 The drawing which is annexed to the present. memory shows, in a view in partial longitudinal section, this latter embodiment, this by way of illustration only.

 The sole shown is thus made up of an internal layer of wool 1 which is placed between two layers of cork 2. The association of the different layers of these two materials will be obtained by any known means, for example, by bonding.

 As an indication, a good result will be obtained with a wool having a density of between 400 and 1000 grams per square meter, the thickness of each layer of cork being between 0.5 and 2 mm.

 There is thus a sole whose manufacturing cost is particularly competitive and which has incontestable qualities of comfort and resistance to wear, which makes it an economical product.

Additional insole for shoes, CHARACTERIZED IN WHAT it is composed of at least one layer of a first flexible and compact material and a layer of a second light and elastic material, having a higher calorific value than the first.  2. Sole according to claim 1, CHARACTERIZED IN THAT the first material is a cork.  3. Sole according to claim 1, CHARACTERIZED IN THAT the second material is wool.  4. Sole according to claims 1 to 3, CHARACTERIZED IN THAT the layer of the second material is between two layers of the first material.  5. Sole according to claim 2, CHARACTERIZED IN THAT the cork layer has a thickness of between 0.5 and 2 mm.  6. Sole according to claim 3, CHARACTERIZED IN THAT the wool has a density between 400 and 1000 grams per square meter.
