Abstract

The connector fits onto the output drive shaft (4) of the windscreen wiper, by means of a nut (6). Part of the outer surface (7) of the nut is truncated and connects with the complementary truncated part (8) of the internal bore of the wiper arm (1). After tightening the nut on the threaded end (4a) of the drive shaft (4), the conical coupling, between the nut (6) and the wiper arm (1), occupies the same axial space as that occupied by the threaded end (4a) of the shaft. The nut has holes (10) in the external face (9) to allow the nut to be turned on the thread. USE/ADVANTAGE - It reduces height above windscreen surface and thus presents improved aesthetics.
