Abstract

Device for mounting a rear parcel shelf for motor vehicles including a rear opening which can be closed and opened by a hatch whereas the shelf is mounted so that it can pivot at its front edge in bearings 3 which are open on supports 4 of the shelf which are extended laterally along an internal wall of the bodywork of the vehicle to constitute the lining thereof, and in which the said bearings 3 have an opening 12 for inserting the pivot pin 13 of the shelf, characterised in that the opening of the bearing is oriented in a manner known per se in a front-to-back direction, and in that the said bearing constitutes the housing of a bearing spring 14 mounted in compression in the bearing to exert a retaining and elastic bearing force on the pivot pin 13.
