Abstract

The chain is for use as an ornament or as a strap for a garment. It is two bands to which links are fixed that can be joined by a cursor to adjust its dimensions. The cursor is held in position by a tab with a small notch in its lower face. The bands are tubular hollow wires made of supple metal, plastics or textile. The upper extremities of the bands are joined by a fastener with interconnecting rings. The movement of the cursor is limited by stops (7,8,9) at each end of the bands.

Description

 The present invention relates to jewelry items of the chain type.

 In all known models of this kind, the links of a jewelry chain are formed and arranged so that they form a link; the length obtained is calculated according to the measurements of the part of the body to be decorated (forehead, neck, wrist, finger, waist, ankle, etc.) so, when it is shown, the channe has a length which can no longer vary, unless you remove or add a few links depending on the size requirements or even the wishes of the purchaser of the jewel. We also know other models of links which hold a garment: bath: bra strap, underpants, thong or "thong"; summer dress straps, sandal strap, etc ...) and which are made of thin ornamental chains. But these devices, like that which lasted for a long time, do not have the advantage of adjustable streaks (in their length) according to the size requirements or even the well-being wishes of the purchaser of the garment.

 The chain according to the invention avoids these drawbacks.

It is in fact associated with a self-locking slider which slides between two rows of links, both fixed on a carrying cord. The sliding of the cursor causes the closing or opening of the chain by (respectively) coupling or separation of the links. According to the invention, this device makes it possible to adjust the jewel to the required dimensions without making any alterations: deletion, addition of links, knots, etc.
